Student Hack: Wonderful World of Whiteboards

Welcome back!

For all of you college/graduate/medical students like myself- I have a huge life hack for you. Last year I decided to purchase a used white board (48in x 26in) that was about $150 on Amazon – I thought this was a steal for a huge white board! I wanted one of good quality that I knew would erase really well. I had it delivered and we put it up in my bedroom and I love it! However, shortly after I did this I figured out a huge life hack. If you go into any home improvement store (I went to Home Depot), you can purchase “Melamine-finish Tile Panel Board” which is basically just a whiteboard without the frame! The best part – it is $13.74 for a 48inx96in sheet. If you just measured this out you probably just realized it was about the size of 3 giant white boards! I suggest finding 2 or 3 friends who want to have a piece and split it! That gives you three 48inx32in sheets for $4.58. I just asked one of the workers at Home Depot if they would cut it and he was super nice and cut it for us! We only cut ours in half, but after doing so, I realized cutting it into thirds would be a better idea… haha. We could barley fit it into my SUV! This is such a great way to save money I felt like I had to share it with you! Here is a picture of the tile board against my whiteboard!

So there you have it – hopefully a very helpful life hack for any perpetual students like myself 🙂 Have a wonderful Wednesday!

    1. Hi!! I usually use it to re-write the notes I’ve taken from lecture. I find the more times I erase and re-write, the more the information sticks in my head! Hope that helps 🙂

      1. Thanks for replying! 🙂
Do you copy directley your notes onto the whiteboard over and over again passively? Or do you write out your notes first on the whiteboard, erase it and try to write it again memory?
Sorry I didnt fully get it. English is not my mothertounge.
